The All Bengal State Government College Teachers' Association (ABSGCTA) is a registered society, registered under Societies Registration Act 1961, Registration No. S/46170 of 1984 - 85 committed to the advancement of State Government College education in West Bengal. Established with the goal of empowering educators, ABSGCTA serves as a platform for faculty members to collaborate, share best practices, and advocate for their professional, academic, and social welfare.
We aim to provide a collective voice for over thousands of teachers working in government colleges across the state. As an association, we actively engage in policy dialogue, negotiate for better working conditions, and facilitate professional development opportunities for our members.
Our key focus areas include ensuring fair and timely compensation, improving educational infrastructure, enhancing pedagogical practices, and fostering academic research. In addition, we are committed to promoting social justice, equality, and diversity within the educational ecosystem.
